What is an ISOLATED STAY?

These are specially selected properties that meet with the requirements as stipulated by the Western Cape Department of Health to provide a way to isolate those in need from the effects of the COVID19 pandemic.

There are two types of stays: those for COVID19 patients, and those for non-COVID19 patients.

COVID19 ISOLATION

In the event of a person contracting the COVID19 virus, that person should isolate at home, however if that is not possible – for fear of further infection at home – there have been stays specially created for persons to recover from the virus, without passing it onto others.

NON-COVID19 ISOLATION

For people with compromised immune systems, or those recently returning from hospital, non-COVID19 isolation spaces have also been created to prevent those people contracting the virus at home. This is especially beneficial for people who are within the high risk category.
